Blue Moon Antiques & Estate Sales handled the sale for my grandfather's estate in November, 2009. I was extremely pleased with how Ken and Deb took care of everything with the estate sale. I was treated as though I was their only customer even though I know they had other estate sales they were preparing for at the same time. The level of customer service I received from them was outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone!
When I first spoke with Ken I thought he sounded like someone with integrity and the competence and enthusiasm to carry out a successful estate sale.
The sale now complete, I happily report that what I sensed to be true was indeed true. In the end, integrity was what I most appreciated about Ken. Going into the sale, I didn’t realize just how much I’d be trusting to this person. Integrity is key!
I was delighted with Ken and Deb’s eagerness to research items and was impressed that they already possessed a wealth of knowledge about most of the items that we had to sell.
Similarly, I knew it was important to Ken that the estate sale be well attended, and he had just the right strategies to accomplish this. He knew how to publicize the sale without it costing us anything out of pocket. In the end, the sale was extremely well attended with cars lining the street and multiple “cashiers” taking money just as quickly as they could write the receipts.
Finally, Ken and Deb were exceptionally sensitive to the nature of an estate sale. They were respectful of the fact that a family’s possessions—and even treasures—were being sold. Rather than mere commodities, they treated our belongings as things of value that would continue to add value to someone else.
In the end, we left Ken with a houseful of stuff, and he ethically, professionally, and respectfully turned it into cash that will be of better use to the family now.

Now that I am settled in my new home, I just had to write and thank you for all you and your “Blue Moon & Estate Sales.” staff did for me! At age 82, the thought of “What am I going to do with all this stuff” was truly daunting. Downsizing after all these years is truly an undertaking in itself, but you and your staff made it infinitely easier than I ever imagined. I also want you to know that I appreciate the extra care and patience you showed with me in explaining exactly how everything “would work” and just what I needed to do. I was already overwhelmed at the thought of moving out of state so your kindness and understanding was an unexpected bonus.
I had never even been to an Estate Sale, but my family told me “it was the way to go.” I couldn’t believe all the items you “found” in my home that were of value I never would have known. And how you located the buyer three states away for that oil painting I’ll never figure out! My kids used to tease me about that picture…but with the price you commanded, they’re certainly not laughing now! It was actually fun to hear from you with updates about the research you were doing on my “stuff” and find out about the “treasures” I had been living with all these years! And I think the way you organized everything in my home for the sale made for great merchandising. I don’t spend a lot of time on the computer, but my family showed me your website and all the items you promoted for my sale. Wow! I had no idea you had taken so many pictures and given me a page of my own. Everything was so professional…but you were as easy to work with as an old friend.
I could go on and on, but I just have to say one more thing. For all the work you did and for the great outcome, I was very impressed that Blue Moon & Estate Sales charged such a reasonable commission. My family had checked into other companies and their commission was much more. Perhaps it’s the (well deserved) confidence in what you do that “allows” you to set such a fair commission, knowing that great success will be realized for your clients and you.

My husband and I contacted Blue Moon Antiques & Estate Sales in October, 2009 to conduct an estate sale for us. We were down-sizing from our home to a town-house and had a very large amount of contents to sell.
